Developing prints

< Alle Themen

You slide the exposed print on edge and face up into the developer solution so that the paper is quickly and evenly covered with liquid. It is best to move the solution around during development by gently rocking the tray. Make sure that the print is always completely covered with the developer solution.
When developing multiple prints, place them in the tray one at a time and create movement (and thus mixing of the solution) by taking the print from the very bottom of the stack and then gently pushing it under the solution on top of the stack. A bit like shuffling playing cards. This is called interleafing agitation and should be done continuously until development is complete.
When the development of a trigger is complete, allow each trigger to drain briefly and then immerse it in a stop bath for about 10-20 seconds without intermediate testing.
